Alex Scott is Bournemouth's headline-taker - but in his absence Tyler Adams' importance has become clear.
The English midfielder is currently ruled out injured, with hope that he could return in mid to late November.
It is not ideal for the Cherries, particularly for a player who has been valued in the £100million range.
However, life for Marco Rose has so far been going smoothly, with Bournemouth on a six-game winning run in all competitions.
In that run, Adams has been a constant feature, with his latest performance being the clearest showing of his importance.
The 27-year-old led the charts in two statistical categories against his former club Leeds, where he spent one impressive season.
Tyler Adams' all-action display against Leeds proves his importance to Bournemouth
Adams once again demonstrated his importance to Bournemouth against Leeds, delivering a performance that highlighted just how much he brings to Rose's side.
The midfielder's influence was clear in two key areas of a midfielder's game.
Against Leeds, Adams' work rate was evident, with the running stats backing that up as per FotMob .
The American international covered 12.4 kilometres throughout the 90 minutes, the most of any player on the pitch.
Additionally, of that 12.4km, he had the highest share of his distance being covered while running (27 per cent).
However, it was not only his off-the-ball work that stood out, as the 27-year-old also proved exceptional on the ball.
He completed more successful long passes than any outfield player, with a total of five.
Furthermore, no Bournemouth player had more passes into the final third (10) or line-breaking passes (11).
Overall, it was an excellent showing from Adams, who is continuing to show that he may be just as important as Scott.
Bournemouth 'doing everything' to block Man United signing Marcus Tavernier What game will Alex Scott return for?
Scott is currently on course for a return to face Ipswich on 8 November, but much can change throughout recovery.
Either way, even if the Englishman misses that date, the international break will allow him further time to get back to fitness.
Following the fixture against the Tractor Boys, there are 13 days until the Cherries' next game against Nottingham Forest.
So, as long as Scott isn't called up by Thomas Tuchel and doesn't face any setbacks, he should be back within the next few weeks.
And that will be a welcome bonus, with Adams stepping up in his absence.
