Tyreek Hill is at a pivotal point in his NFL career. The eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is still a free agent after the Miami Dolphins released him in February, ending his four-year stint with the team. Hill is currently recovering from the serious knee injury that ended his 2025 season.
There have been growing rumors of a potential reunion between Hill, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, although nothing has been confirmed.

Despite the ongoing chatter, Hill is expected to take his time before deciding where he will continue his career. Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed the star receiver wants to return only when he is healthy and is looking to join a contender. In August, Rosenhaus said on the "Pat McAfee Show" that he did not expect Hill to sign before the start of the season because the receiver still had work to do in his recovery.

While the football world continues to wait for Hill's decision, the former Chiefs wide receiver sent a message to his former quarterback after a throwback clip surfaced of one of their most memorable connections. The clip showed Mahomes finding Hill for a 64-yard touchdown during the Chiefs' AFC Divisional Round thriller against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

"Pat a wild boy for even throwing this," Hill wrote on X.
The play came during one of the greatest playoff games in NFL history. On Jan. 23, 2022, the Chiefs defeated the Bills 42-36 in overtime, with Hill finishing with 11 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown.
Kansas City advanced to the AFC Championship Game for the fourth consecutive season. But they did not reach the Super Bowl that year as Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Chiefs 27-24 in overtime at Arrowhead Stadium.

Hill left Kansas City shortly afterward, with the Chiefs trading him to Miami after contract negotiations stalled. He exploded in his first two seasons with the Dolphins, recording 119 catches for 1,710 yards in 2022 and 119 catches for 1,799 yards in 2023.
However, Miami never advanced past the wild card round during Hill's four seasons, while Mahomes and the Chiefs won two Super Bowls after his departure.
Although there are no confirmed reports, the thought of seeing Mahomes and Hill reunite continues to make headlines.
