College sports are known for their unusual promotional nights, but UCLA's women's basketball team is taking it to another level .
As the Bruins are set to host UC Irvine on Thursday night, the team is having "Leather Pants Night."
The team announced the promotion on social media on Wednesday night with a graphic featuring head coach Cori Close celebrating her team winning the National Championship last year , while wearing a pair of leather pants.
"U-C-LEATHER-A!
," The team wrote on an X post. "Bruin fans, come dressed in your best leather tomorrow night as we take on UC Irvine!"
It's unknown what the exact reason is behind why UCLA is having a leather pants night, but one could predict that it would be because Close, as leather pants have been a staple to her coaching wardrobe.
