The Boston Celtics worked out University of Connecticut big man Tarris Reed Jr.; is he an ideal big man target in the 2026 NBA Draft for the team? It is no secret that the Celtics are going to be looking to bolster their frontcourt rotation this offseason after showing their big men were not quite up to the job when it came to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs.
But Reed could be an answer to at least some of that need, having up up 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.0 blocks and just under a steal per game with the Huskies last season. He also shot 60.7 percent from the field overall and 61.7 percent from the free throw line at the college level in 2025-26.
The folks behind the "NBC Sports Boston" YouTube channel put together a clip of the best of his play at UConn last season so we can get to know his game better. Check it out below!
