- 🚨 Valverde out for several weeks after Kang-in Lee tackle
The controversy is only going to grow!
This is the story that dominated Spain this weekend. On Sunday, Real Madrid lost away to Atlético de Madrid at the end of a fiery clash marked by controversial refereeing decisions.

The one drawing the most attention is Kang-in Lee's studs-up challenge on Federico Valverde , which many observers believe should have earned a red card, and José Mourinho did not hesitate to slam the referee in his press conference.
This Tuesday, Real Madrid released an update on the physical condition of their captain.
Valverde is suffering from a grade 3 sprain to his left ankle and will be out for around two weeks!
He should therefore be fit to face FC Barcelona in El Clásico at the end of October.
