- Vikings legend Adrian Peterson ranks his top running backs in the NFL
The NFL is going through a bit of a running back renaissance. There was a multi-year stretch when running backs weren't as important or as highly regarded as they are now. However, running backs are back to being major parts of the offense, as there is an abundance of talent right now.
Adrian Peterson knows a thing or two about running back talent, and while appearing on the Schultz Report , he gave his top five running backs currently in the NFL:
-
1) Bijan Robinson
-
2) Jonathan Taylor
-
3) Kenneth Walker
-
4) Derrick Henry
-
5) Jahmyr Gibbs

Never want to call a legend a fool, but putting Jahmyr Gibbs at number five is hilarious. Bijan Robinson and Gibbs are the undisputed top two running backs in the NFL. Jonathan Taylor and Derrick Henry also belong in the top five, but Kenneth Walker should be up for debate with James Cook and Christian McCaffrey for that fifth and final spot. But that's the beauty of sports; everyone has their own opinions.
