However, not everyone is buying into it. On the latest episode of Clutch Hoops, Brett Siegel and Tomer Azarly strongly maintain that Kerr isn't going anywhere.
"We reported a month ago, and it's still true to this day, every time we check in about Steve Kerr, it's the same thing that the Warriors want him there, however many years left he wants," Siegel said.
This year, the Warriors are 37-42 and are 10th in the Western Conference standings. Plus, they are on the brink of potentially being eliminated from the playoffs for the first time since 2024.
At the same time, they have an aging roster with Curry and Draymond Green . Kerr has been the Warriors' head coach for 12 seasons. Along the way, he has become one of the most successful coaches of his era.
In 2015, he won his first NBA Championship as a head coach. The following year, Kerr won the NBA Coach of the Year award after leading the Warriors to a league-record 73-9 season. Afterward, the Warriors went on to win three more NBA championships in 2017, 2018, and 2022. Twice, Kerr was the NBA All-Star head coach in 2015 and 2017. Additionally, Kerr led Team USA to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
