The Golden State Warriors are looking for ways to get better this offseason as they look to maximize the twilight years of star point guard Stephen Curry 's career. The Warriors appear to have fallen behind in the LeBron James free agency sweepstakes after initially looking like the frontrunners to team up with their longtime adversary.
Recently, Curry spoke on his loyalty to the Bay Area during an inte r view during a round of golf.
"Dub Nation is strong. It's been great to see them, not only the history before I got there in '09, but to see how we've grown in the last 17 years that I've been out here. It's a lot to be proud of, of building an organization to the heights that we have. Myself, Draymond, Klay , KD, Andre, and a whole cast of others, they know who they are. So it's just a matter of being grateful that I get to represent one fanbase for, hopefully, my entire career," said Curry, per @jinthirty on X, formerly Twitter.

Curry's answer should certainly calm any concerns Warriors fans might have about the future Hall of Famer taking his talents elsewhere before his legendary career comes to an end. The Warriors are hoping to rekindle some of their dynastic magic from the 2010s, but those efforts have proven futile over the last few seasons, with Golden State exiting in the play-in tournament in two out of the last three years, and three out of the last five.
Through it all, Curry has remained brilliant when on the court, but injuries have started to take a toll on the 38-year-old in recent years.
In any case, the Warriors' 2026-27 schedule is slated to be announced next month.
