The Tennessee Titans have done a great job when it comes to the offseason, as they made plenty of major moves to add players to the roster; however, some of their biggest work was when it came to the players that they were able to return.
One of the players that the Titans returned is veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who is now on a new and improved restructured deal that favors the franchise after a season-ending injury that Ridley suffered during the 2025 season. This required some other players to step up, and one of the players who stepped up to the plate could be the single player who takes the veteran receiver's starting job in 2026.

There hasn't been a single player on the Titans roster who has been more impressive throughout the full training camp than Elic Ayomanor, who is returning to the franchise and is set to play in his second season in the NFL .
Ayomanor was a star for the Titans a season ago, and he was able to make some major progress during this offseason, which has been showcased during the preseason training camp . In most practices, he has finished with at least one touchdown, while in the select few that he hasn't, he has still been a top target. He has been a top-two-targeted wide receiver on the roster, as he is joined by slot wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson.

One of the quieter receivers from this training camp has been Ridley, who hasn't had much of a spark and is expected to be the starting wide receiver on the opposite side of Carnell Tate; however, with Ayomanor's continued success, it seems that he should be the starter for the Titans.
If the preseason success doesn't play a factor in how the players line up on Sundays, then what is the point? There hasn't been a better player, and he has showcased that he is only getting better. As for Ridley, it is easy to assume he has regressed, especially since suffering his injury.
Both players will obviously play on game days for the Titans, as they will need all hands on deck, but it is safe to say that if I were the head coach of this team, I would be giving the starting job to Ayomanor.
