The official Serie A YouTube channel uploaded the highlights from Sunday's thrilling action in Rome, as Lazio seized the top spot in the table after beating Cagliari 2-1 .
After a series of slick passing, Lazio captain Mattia Zaccagni squandered an early opportunity with a tame effort at goal. The hosts paid were made to pay for it, as the Isolani took the lead a few minutes later through M'Bala Nzola, who was teed up by Alieu Federa. The big Cagliari striker reacted first, beat Josip Sutalo to the ball and wrong-footed Christos Mandas.
The Biancocelesti responded in the 36th minute with a wonderful strike from Gustav Isaksen after a lovely give-and-go between Tijjani Noslin and Kenneth Taylor. The Danish winger sent a sensational lob over a crowd of players, and it landed in the far corner, leaving Elia Caprile stranded in his goal.
It was all Lazio after the break, but Caprile reacted just in time to parry away a sneaky Taylor free kick. The Dutch midfielder then failed to hit the target from a promising position, while Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was denied a spot-kick despite being caught inside Cagliari's box.

Nevertheless, Lazio had the last laugh, as the referee kept the game going when Alessandro Daiola fell to the ground after a vicious Dele-Bashiru shot struck him in the face, and the play culminated in a late winner for Gennaro Gattuso's men. Isaksen's cross from the right found Alfonso Pedraza, who redirected it to the mouth of the goal with a bouncing ball finished off by Andrea Pinamonti.
A few minutes later, Cagliari were reduced to 10 men as Adam Obert earned his second yellow of the game after stopping Isaksen in his tracks. Hence, Lazio made the most of Inter Milan's Derby defeat on Saturday, opening a three-point gap at the top of the Serie A table.
