Cougar Fans, it's time! BYU Basketball is upon us. They'll open play against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Monday night at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
BYU won both of its exhibition games, first against Nebraska, then on Oct. 24 against UNLV, with the final score being 89-77. Last year, BYU had a 23-12 record before exiting the NCAA Tournament in the first round.
Ohio State lost its first exhibition against Cincinnati, then defeated Butler on Oct. 25 by a final score of 82-73. The Buckeyes, out of the Big 10, were 21-13 a season ago, and also lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Monday marks the eighth time BYU and Ohio State will meet on the hardwood, with the last game coming back in 1997. Ohio State leads the series 4-3, but two of BYU's three wins came at neutral sites.
ESPN's Matchup Predictor gives BYU a 53 percent chance of winning.
