🐣 This week's wonderkid: Younes Ebnoutalib 🇩🇪
As every week, OneFootball shines a light on a young talent on the rise. This Wednesday, the focus is on a new face in the Mannschaft!
A first senior call-up to crown a meteoric rise. Called up for the first time by Jürgen Klopp with Germany, Younes Ebnoutalib is discovering the national team at just 23, a little over a year after playing in Germany's fourth division for FC Gießen.

Signed by Frankfurt in December 2025, his start was slowed by a knee ligament injury suffered in only his second appearance, against Stuttgart .
After that long spell out, the 1.91m striker has started the new Bundesliga season at full speed. He notably made headlines with a stunning hat-trick on the opening day against Union Berlin (3-3), taking his tally to three goals and one assist in his first three league matches.
A clinical finisher and comfortable with his back to goal, he is also willing in the press and in defensive work. Impressed by his athletic profile and efficiency, new head coach Jürgen Klopp decided to hand him his first senior call-up.
This rise comes at the perfect time for the Germany national team , which has been searching for a true target man for many years. While Kai Havertz remains the Mannschaft's top scorer in recent times, he does not have the traditional physical presence in the box that this role demands.

Also eligible for Morocco through his father, Ebnoutalib could therefore become the long-awaited solution at the tip of Germany's attack, as the Mannschaft begins a new era.
