Kyle Teel is embracing the opportunity to represent the Chicago White Sox as they prepare for another postseason challenge. The rookie catcher shared a message of pride after Chicago eliminated the Houston Astros in the American League Wild Card Series.

"I'm proud to be repping Chicago," Teel said, expressing his connection to the city after the White Sox secured their place in the next round.
Chicago's advancement marked its first postseason series victory since the 2005 World Series. The White Sox completed the sweep with a 7-3 win over Houston in Game 2, getting a crucial three-run homer from Chase Meidroth in the sixth inning.
Teel contributed to the series-clinching victory with an RBI single during Chicago's four-run first inning. He finished the two-game series with three hits in 10 at-bats, adding a run and an RBI.

His contribution came after an injury-interrupted regular season. Teel appeared in 39 games, batting .210 with five home runs and 26 RBIs, according to the supplied season figures. His ability to contribute in October gives Chicago another option as it moves into a tougher matchup.
