Many people are up in arms against the Los Angeles Clippers for firing Chris Paul late Tuesday night. Not only do they think the Clippers were wrong in cutting short what was going to be CP3's final NBA season, but the manner in which they did so was disgraceful.
The Clippers are currently on a five-game road trip and were in Atlanta for their Wednesday night game against the Hawks, and it was late at night when the news broke. ESPN LA's Jorge Sedano thinks that was an unprofessional move by the Clips.
"Why do you do this in the middle of the night? If we're being honest, that is bush league," said Sedano on "The Sedano and Kap Morning Show."

The Clippers knew what they were getting when they signed CP3
It was just before 3 a.m. Eastern Time when Paul broke the news on social media, stating that he had just learned he was being sent home. However, Lawrence's official statement was released around three in the morning, so it was well past midnight.
However, regardless of the exact time when Frank decided to cut Paul, it's quite unusual to announce a personnel move at an unholy hour. And to do that to a player who did so much for the organization, as CP3 did, was utterly disrespectful to him and a bad look for the Team. Aside from that, Sedano also pointed out that the Clippers knew what they were getting when they signed Chris because he played for them for seven years.
"You brought in Chris Paul, fully aware of who Chris Paul was. This wasn't like Chris Paul surprised you, that Chris Paul is going to be honest about the situation in the locker room. Like you had him for many years. Like you knew what kind of player he was. You knew what kind of personality he was, which is no. B.S. He's gonna tell you straight, no chaser. And your guys can't take it in the locker room, and you send him packing at 3 in the morning?" Sedano added.
The Clippers couldn't take CP3's honesty in the locker room?
According to a report from Shams Charania, CP3 was very vocal in holding management, coaches, and players accountable. The source told Shams that Chris' leadership style not only clashed with personalities on the team but had also started to become disruptive. Meanwhile, Paul and head coach Tyronn Lue had not spoken to each other in weeks. Early Wednesday, GM Frank issued another statement regarding Paul.
"I'd like to keep some of those things in-house," Frank said, via Joey Linn . "Chris has a very good leadership style. He's led a lot of teams. And he's led a lot of teams as being one of the best players, if not the best player on the team. It's just, the role — some moves you make, you have great intentions. And some work and some don't. And I own that. And this one just didn't work at this time."
If Paul was becoming disruptive, then maybe Frank made the right move in sending him home. However, if they're saying he was disruptive because he was calling out the wrong things that the team was doing, that's not right. And as Sedano's co-host Scott Kaplan said, that's why the Clippers are the Clippers.
