William Saliba is closing in on a return to action after spending the opening part of the season on the sidelines with a back injury. The Arsenal defender has not featured competitively since France's World Cup semi-final, and his absence has been a significant consideration for the Gunners as they have navigated their fixtures without one of their most important players.
The Frenchman suffered a back problem that did not require surgery , but he needed an extended period of rest to recover properly. Arsenal have been careful with his rehabilitation, prioritising his fitness rather than rushing him back before he is ready.
Despite missing Saliba, Arsenal have continued to perform well and have found ways to maintain their defensive strength. However, the defender remains a world-class talent, and having him available again would give the team another important boost as they look to strengthen their performances.
According to Hand of Arsenal , Saliba has returned to training with his teammates and is now preparing to make his comeback. His involvement in training represents encouraging progress after several months away from competitive action.
The defender has been an outstanding performer for the Gunners over the last few years, establishing himself as one of the most reliable players in their back line. His composure, defensive awareness and ability to deal with opposition attackers have made him an important part of the team's success.
His return should provide Arsenal with greater security at the back and give the manager another high-quality option in defence. With the Frenchman approaching full fitness, the club will hope he can soon resume the level of performance that made him such an important player.

Arsenal have managed Saliba's absence well, with Ezri Konsa stepping up and helping the team maintain its defensive standards . However, the Frenchman's return is likely to affect the defender's position in the starting eleven, particularly if Saliba immediately reclaims his usual place.
Konsa could find himself on the bench, although there may be another way for Arsenal to keep him involved. His ability to play at right back could provide the manager with an alternative, allowing the team to benefit from his qualities without leaving him out completely.
