- Winnipeg Jets Snap Nine-Game Losing Streak With Historic NHL-Record Comeback
The Winnipeg Jets didn't just snap their nine-game losing streak on Tuesday night. They made NHL history in the process.
Trailing 4-0 with just 2:39 remaining in regulation, Winnipeg mounted a remarkable comeback, scoring four goals in a franchise-record two minutes and six seconds before Dylan Samberg completed the stunning turnaround with his first goal of the season in overtime.

The comeback established an NHL record for the latest a team has overcome a four-goal deficit, turning what appeared to be a certain 10th consecutive loss into one of the most improbable finishes in league history.

Kyle Connor scored twice in the final minute of the third period, recording his 12th and 13th goals of the season as the Jets somehow erased a four-goal deficit in the dying moments of regulation.
The historic finish came during an eventful third period that also saw captain Adam Lowry drop the gloves and rookie defenceman Tyrel Bauer complete a Gordie Howe hat trick, registering a goal, an assist and a fight in the final frame.
Somehow, Stuart Skinner emerged with the victory in goal, despite the Jets trailing by four goals with less than three minutes remaining.
The improbable victory also provided a much-needed reprieve for head coach Scott Arniel, whose team appeared destined for a 10th consecutive defeat before its stunning late-game heroics.
For a Winnipeg team desperately searching for a way to end its nine-game skid, Tuesday's victory delivered just a bit more than two points in the standings. It was probably a season-saver.
