The New York Yankees fell short in the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays .
Very short.
Their offense managed just five runs and 12 total hits in the three-game sweep. Ben Rice showed the most fight, finishing with eight hits and four home runs in the postseason.
The Yankees are too left-handed heavy, and Aaron Judge could use a right-handed running mate in the lineup, FanSided's Zachary Rotman wrote.
"The Yankees are stacked with lefties like Rice, Cody Bellinger, Luis Garcia Jr. and Spencer Jones, but who is their best right-handed hitter not named Aaron Judge? George Lombard Jr.?
"That isn't good enough, and makes the Yankees far too easy to pitch to. Adding a big right-handed bat would help balance and lengthen the lineup, making a Yankees team with an elite pitching staff much more difficult to overtake in October," Rotman wrote.

Who might that extra right-handed hitter be? Chicago Cubs corner outfielder Seiya Suzuki is one possibility, but New York's outfield is a little crowded, even with the departure of Trent Grisham.
They could also look to add a new third baseman as an offensive upgrade over Ryan McMahon.
Alec Bohm is set to hit the open market after 15 home runs and a .698 OPS with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2026.
