After Schlittler‘s dominant Game 3 Wild Card performance in which he threw eight scoreless innings in New York’s 4-0 win over the Red Sox, he took to social media to respond to one X user who told Schlittler he wasn’t from Boston after he posted , “Drinking dat dirty water.”
“Went to school in (Boston) for 3 years, I live in Southie during the off season, start preparing for the bruins szn homie,” Schlittler replied .
The Toronto Blue Jays eventually eliminated the Yankees from the American League Division Series in four games. Schlittler couldn’t recreate the performance he had against Boston, and gave up two earned runs on eight hits.
