Before returning to the Qust Diagnostics Training Center following their much-needed bye week, the New York Giants made a minor tweak to their practice squad.
Art Stapleton of USA TODAY reports that Big Blue is re-signing defensive tackle Casey Rogers .
Rogers, 26, signed with the Giants as a rookie free agent out of Oregon following the 2024 NFL draft. He was waived as a part of final cuts but promptly re-signed to their practice squad.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Rogers was promoted to the active roster last December 7 and waived again on December 24 before re-signing to the practice squad. He then signed a reserve/futures contract in January.
The Giants again waived Rogers in early May, and the Buffalo Bills promptly claimed him, but that stay was also short-lived. He was part of the final cuts in August and has remained a free agent since, spending a few weeks in the National Lacrosse League.
In two career games, Rogers has taken 33 defensive snaps and nine special teams snaps but has yet to register a statistic.
