- New York Giants Team Awards Through NFL Week 7

For the better part of the last decade and a half, the New York Giants season has been ‘unofficially over’ by Halloween. But this year things are different under head coach John Harbaugh , as the Giants have a solid lead in the NFC East with a 4-2-1 record.
It hasn’t been an easy road as the team has lost key starters such as Jaxson Dart , Brian Burns , and Tremaine Edmunds. But through it all, New York has stayed united as a team, and they have been one of the surprise teams this season.
There are still 10 games remaining in the season, and there’s a ton that can happen between now and the end of the season. It’s not quite mid-season awards, but we’ll give out team awards for the first seven games of the season.

There’s no question that Malik Nabers is fully recovered from tearing his ACL in September of 2025. The 23-year-old wideout has 48 receptions for 605 yards with two touchdowns. His 605 receiving yards rank as the sixth-most in the league.
Nabers has over 100 yards in each of the last four games and has quickly developed a rapport with quarterback J.J. McCarthy . At this pace, he has a realistic chance to break Victor Cruz’s single-season receiving record of 1,536 yards that he set in 2011.

This was a tough choice as Arvell Reese is equally as deserving of being called the team’s best defensive player. But due to Jevon Holland’s game-sealing interception in the end zone in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans , we’ll give him the nod.
Thanks to his game-saving interception, Holland was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. Despite missing the team’s Week 7 game against the Houston Texans , the 26-year-old’s three interceptions are tied for most in the NFL. He also has 30 tackles, which is the third most on the team, to go along with five pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Reese has clearly been the team’s best rookie, and might be well on his way towards being named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. His all-out pursuit and aggressiveness are why he leads the Giants in tackles with 56.
The 21-year-old rookie linebacker also has five and a half tackles for a loss, four pass defenses, one and a half sacks, and one interception. Reese also makes plays that always don’t show up on the stat sheet, such as disposing of blockers, which allows his teammates to make the tackle. He has all the potential to be the next great Giants linebacker.

It doesn’t matter who the quarterback has been for Big Blue; Isaiah Likely has produced. In five of the team’s seven games, he’s had at least five receptions. He has a team-high five touchdown receptions, to go along with 41 receptions for 395 yards. He has been a matchup nightmare for opponents due to his size and speed.
He’s been one of the breakout stars of 2026 and should now be considered one of the best tight ends in the league. He could set career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in the Giants’ next game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9.

The way punter Jordan Stout is able to change field position for the team has been an invaluable asset, and he is one of the major reasons why they’re in first place. Even when the offense is pinned deep in their own territory, Stout’s booming punts set the opponents back well beyond the 50-yard line.
His 51.6 yards per punt is the best in the league, and 12 of his punts have landed inside the opponents’ 20-yard line. The 28-year-old punter earned All-Pro honors in 2025, and he’s well on his way towards doing that in 2026.
