Browns executive vice president JW Johnson made the announcement during an interview on 92.3 the Fan on Thursday morning.
Andrew Siciliano's work on DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket Red Zone makes him well qualify to assume game day radio duties for Cleveland Browns broadcasts.
"Like every Browns fan, I was stunned last week when I learned of Jim's retirement. I know I have big shoes to fill. Jim's an icon, an amazing man and an indelible part of this community," Siciliano said in a statement released by the team. "I'm so grateful to Jim for his gracious support last season when I did a few games and will never forget sitting in the stands and listening to his call when the Browns clinched the playoffs in Week 17."
Siciliano understands the task in replacing Jim Donovan , who served as voice of the Browns for 25 years and recently announced he was leaving the chair to focus on his health.
Longtime play-by-play voice of the Cleveland Browns Jim Donovan was honored by the team Sunday, a day after his death at age 68.
"Last season we were able to bring Andrew Siciliano on for a number of games, and his passion for the Browns and this fanbase shines through his commentary," Johnson said in a statement released by the team. "We're looking forward to having his voice lead the Dawg Pound on the radio call during the 2024 season."

Siciliano is a Virginia native who has a well-known love for the Browns and the Cleveland Guardians. It won't be the first time he's sat in the play-by-play announcer's chair. He filled in for Donovan last year when Donovan took a leave of absence.
His choice received approval from Browns fans:
