Florida State football took another hit in its recruiting trail on Thursday morning. Four-star quarterback Tramell Jones de-committed to the Seminoles , according to multiple reports.
The Mandarin quarterback has been loyal to the Seminoles since April 2023 and even tried to recruit players for the 2025 class. Rumors have escalated that he could flip to the Florida Gators.

With the loss of Jones, FSU now has 12 verbal commits in the 2025 class but is missing its quarterbacks and wide receivers. Jones has missed majority of the season due to an injury.
According to On3Sports, FSU expects to pivot and could land four-star quarterback Carter Smith, a recent Michigan decommit.
