All eyes were on the Florida State true freshman quarterback, Luke Kromenhoek when he made his collegiate debut in the second quarter against Duke .
The Seminoles (1-8, 1-7) needed a spark after Brock Glenn's three straight turnovers. Kromenhoek's said the biggest change was getting used to the speed of the game.
"Duke was really really fast for me.," Kromenhoek said after Wednesday's practice.
"They were throwing a lot of things at us. They knew I was a rookie in there, so they were throwing the kitchen at us, but It was really really fast for me, but as it's gone on, I've gotten more comfortable and more comfortable, and I've kind of settled down a little bit."
Kromenhoek has played in the last three games and is expected to play in Saturday's game at No. 8 Notre Dame . He has completed 11 of 28 passes for 116 yards in a reserve role behind Glenn.
However, the Savannah, Georgia, native had game moments that sparked FSU's offense, such as the 42-yard run against Miami that set up an FSU touchdown. The more games Kromenhoek has played, his confidence has grown.
"When you first get out there, you're going to be a little nervous. It's a big stage, and as I've kind of gone on the last couple of games, my confidence is growing," Kromenhoek said.
"I'm starting to settle down, starting to trust the concepts and trust myself. So, it's been really really good for me."

Luke Kromenhoek learns from his QB teammates Brock Glenn , DJ Uiagalelei
DJ Uiagalelei and Glenn each have expressed their working bond in the quarterback room, and Kromenkoek echoed that relationship.
While Uiagalelei has been out for the year after sustaining a broken finger injury in October, he remains involved. Kromenhoek mentioned how much Uiagalelei communicates with him and the rest of the quarterbacks with advice and feedback.
"DJ's been unbelievable," Kromenhoek said.
"I mean, every morning meeting early in the morning he's been there coaching us up, helping us, staying late after meetings, giving us tips and reminders, trying to help us out, so he's been a great help to us young guys."
His relationship with Glenn has strengthened to the point that they became close friends, They support one another whenever one of them is on the field, taking snaps behind center with the starters.
"Brock's a great dude," Kromenhoek said.
" Me and him have become really good friends over these last couple of months, and we just try to help each other out, but we also have a friendship outside of football. We'll go eat all the time. We'll go play golf. So our friendship has grown a good bit."

Luke Kromehoek feels fully healthy. Excited about the freshman class
Kromenhoek admitted he had been banged up recently but had no serious injuries. He has battled through it and will continue to do so for the remaining three games against the Irish, Charleston Southern and Florida.
"You're going to get bumps and bruises. You're not going to feel great every day but as a quarterback and as a football player, everyone's got to play through," Kromenhoek said.
"We're late in the season, and you're not going to feel 100 percent, so just got to play through it and toughen up."
Kromenhoek, a four-star prospect, is thrilled to see his freshman classmates receiving playing opportunities.
"We got a ton of dudes who are going to be unbelievable players, and just for us to get the experience of in-game reps, it's been unbelievable for us," Kromenhoek said.
"We just got to take advantage of it, and I feel that the future is going to be really bright here with these guys."
