Jake Moody is only in his first NFL season, but he's already made some history on the biggest and brightest stage the sport has to offer.
The former Michigan kicker, now a rookie with the San Francisco 49ers , broke a scoreless deadlock early in the second quarter of the 2024 Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs with a 55-yard field goal, the longest made kick in Super Bowl history.
Moody, a Northville native and Northville High School graduate, has struggled at times in the final stretch of his debut NFL season, with a missed kick in each of the 49ers' past three games. For the season, he has made 22 of his 26 field goals, including three of his four attempts from at least 50 yards.
