- Mikhail Vorobyev's first NHL goal is a comedy routine on ice

Mikhail Vorobyev's mother, who was moved to tears Saturday night at the Pepsi Center, won't likely forget her son's first NHL goal. And it may be safe to assume the Colorado Avalanche won't forget about it any time soon, either.
In his first ever taste of life in the show, Vorobyev scored his first — and what will likely end up being the easiest — tally of his career, taking full advantage of a clumsy collision in front of Colorado's net.
After chasing a puck that was dumped into Colorado's zone, Avs defenceman Mark Barberio seemed to have some major cramping of the brain as he inexplicably barrelled over his own goaltender while Semyon Varlamov was attempting the freeze the puck.

Vorobyev was then able to focus and bare down under pressure and did what any elite, goal-scoring veteran would do in the same situation: tap the puck into the wide open cage.
The easiest, and likely the most hilarious, way to break the ice on your NHL career.
