Jacob Kemeker from USA Today joins us now here, and always a tough day, but are you expecting any big names that we may see on the waiver wire that may get through, that could be out there that maybe be a casualty of the numbers that we see always when we have to set this 53-man rosters for the teams?

Yeah, Dan, I Every time we have this cut day, you know, there's always talk about, like, is there gonna be a surprise cut, is there not, or is it just gonna be more of the, you know, guys who are battling for those backend roster spots who might land back on the practice squad.

But the two guys that I'm keeping an eye on just in terms of name value, Odell Beckham Jr. With the Giants I think is fascinating.

You know, he's had a pretty good preseason.

He's looked maybe not as great as he was in his prime, but he looks like he could be a potential contributor at receiver.

John Harbaugh said he's done enough to make an NFL roster, but wouldn't commit to him, you know, necessarily making the Giants.

So I think the Giants are probably gonna release one veteran receiver, whether it's Odell Beckham Jr., Darius Slayton, someone else there.

So I'd be keeping an eye on the Giants receiver room, 'cause if a veteran gets cut there, they could easily land somewhere else for a receiver-needy team.

And then the big one, J.J. McCarthy with the Vikings.

Is he going to make the team?

By all indications, it sounds like, you know, he lost the starting job to Kyler Murray, and now it sounds like Carson Wentz might be ahead of him for the backup job.

So, you know, I, I think the Vikings would maybe be willing to consider keeping McCarthy as the third-string quarterback, trying to develop him behind the scenes, but this just seems to me like a situation where both sides could benefit from a fresh start.

I just don't know if the Vikings are going to be willing to pull the plug on such a recent first-round pick without potentially getting anything in return.
