I can't wait to see how Mike McCarthy and how Aaron Rodgers are gonna coexist with one another.
Let's take a look at Aaron Rodgers since he's left Green Bay.
The dude is 16 and 18.
He's been a walking train wreck.
Hey look, I'm glad to see he's back with his family.
You know, he took a shot at Anthony Fauci, a couple days ago on another show.
So he's like this big celebrity now.
Hey dude, if you're gonna go out like this also, like the ultimate reality show, that's one thing.
I get it.
But you're one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the National Football League, and the grass wasn't greener, was it, on the other side when you had Mike McCarthy in Green Bay for you?
What did Mike McCarthy do for Aaron Rodgers when he was in Green Bay?
Dude, he took on all the arrows.
All the BS that Rodgers was doing up there, the clutch games that he didn't perform in, all those big-time games that he fell short in at the end of his time there in Green Bay.
Who was the guy that was falling on the sword for him?
It was Mike McCarthy.
You know, if you look at Mike McCarthy's career and you look at his coaching record, it's right there with Sean Payton.
Look at how both coaches are being perceived.
One coach is being looked at as a Hall of Fame-type coach.
He's now in Denver, obviously, Sean Payton.
And Mike McCarthy has the same win percentage as Sean Payton.
And look at the two franchises that Mike McCarthy has coached.
He's coached the Green Bay Packers, he's coached the Dallas Cowboys, and now he's coaching the Pittsburgh Steelers, where there's only been three head football coaches going into this year since 1969.
There's been more popes and presidents in the United States and in the world than there have been head football coaches in Pittsburgh.
They don't make knee-jerk reactions in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh, they hire people for longevity.
They believe in a game plan.
They believe in people that roll into that organization and wanna win Super Bowls.
Unfortunately, the last couple of years in Pittsburgh, it's all been about finishing .500.
The standard has fallen for really all three, Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Steelers are all about the Terrible Towels.
They're all about winning titles.
Well, maybe they get back to that, and maybe these guys can end up going out and doing something special.
I don't know if the Pittsburgh Steelers are gonna be a contender in the AFC this year.
But what I do know is that these three folks all need one another, the Steelers, Rodgers, and McCarthy.
If McCarthy wants to be a Hall of Fame coach, you win in Pittsburgh and you close out a great coaching career in Pittsburgh.
