Ashton Jeanty Gets Two Carries as Mike Washington Jr. Starts in Raiders Win
Ashton Jeanty carried the ball just twice in the Raiders' 38-33 Week 8 win over the New York Jets. His five total touches were the fewest of his career, and Mike Washington Jr. started ahead of him for the first time this season, playing a career-high 38 snaps. Coach Klint Kubiak called the split his decision and said it was not punishment for Jeanty's pregame comments about the Jets defense. Jeanty said coaches told him beforehand that his touches would drop. His carries have fallen every week since the opener against Miami, and he is averaging 0.6 fewer yards per carry than in 2025.
