Christian McCaffrey Says Leg 'Just Died' as 49ers Fall to Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons came in with a losing record and handed the San Francisco 49ers their first loss of the season. Christian McCaffrey left the game frustrated after aggravating his leg in the first quarter. He went to the medical tent, headed to the locker room in the second quarter and came back to start the third, but with a lighter workload. "My leg just died on me," McCaffrey said, though he added, "I know I'll be all right." He finished with seven carries for 39 yards and a touchdown plus six catches for 61 yards, and the 49ers have a bye coming up.
