Giants HC John Harbaugh on allure of coaching in NY, Malik Nabers' Week 1 status
As the Giants prepare for their Week 1 matchup on SNF against the Cowboys, head coach John Harbaugh spoke with the media to discuss his nerve levels in coaching his first game with a new team, what goes into coaching in a city like New York, and the status of star wide receiver Malik Nabers after today's practice.

What signs do you see that tells you they're ready?
Well, they practice well every day.
I mean, that's really it.
I mean, it's You just look at the football, I think, I think, I think we look good, you know?
But how good we look, you know, you never know until you start playing games, honestly.
I mean, you can, you can feel good about things, or you can feel bad about things in practice, but when you start playing the games, you know, that gives you an idea really where you're at.
Very excited about it.
Very, very looking forward to it, for sure.
Can't wait.
Can't wait for the, the game to start.
But, you know, also, also excited for the, you know How many days we got between now and then?

11 days.
11 days to get ready, and, a lot goes into it, you know?
It means a lot to everybody.
It means a lot to our fans.
You know, our fans are excited.
They should be excited, and we're looking forward to doing the best we can to make them proud of us.
I know it's a vague question, but what, what has been different for this, for you?
Like, are you In the same place for 18 years, what's like I'm sure you've thought about this or not thought about this, but what's been different?
It's like a tough question, psych- You know, you gotta get to psychology of the whole thing, huh?
Mm-hmm.
And I don't know if I'm really prepared to answer that because it's, it's more about just you, you work every day at the football.
You know, that's really what it is.
So it's, it's this team at this time with these guys, in this setting, in this, in this city, you know?
With these, with our fans, you know?
And that's, that's what's different about it.
And it's, it's all new, and it's all, it's all we're ready to go.
We're ready to go, go fight some football battles.
You said the plan every day with Malik is day to day.
What, what was the plan for him today?
He practiced.
He was out there.
Start to finish for him?
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, that's right, you guys were out there the whole time.
Yeah, he was there start to finish.

So it was more than Because yesterday he didn't do the individual, so he did the individuals- Right okay.
