Jets Sign Will Levis to Practice Squad, Release Bailey Zappe

The New York Jets signed quarterback Will Levis to their practice squad, releasing Bailey Zappe to make room. The Titans cut Levis, the 33rd overall pick in the 2023 draft, on Aug. 30, and the Jets brought him in for a tryout before finalizing the signing. Head coach Aaron Glenn has confirmed Geno Smith remains the starter with rookie Cade Klubnik as QB2, but the team wanted another quarterback with starting experience on the roster. Levis started 21 games over three seasons in Tennessee, finishing with a 5-16 record.
