Malik, week one right around the corner.
How are you physically feeling heading into that game?
Physically feeling, you know, way better than I was before.
Just still continue to put in great, great work.
Show, show up every day with my teammates, give good energy, you know, and, hopefully, you know, be ready.
Can we expect to see you out there for week one?
Not putting a date on anything right now.
Just continue to come out here, show good effort, you know, be intentional on getting the work done, and being, you know, somebody that the guys can lean on for sure.
Prime time Sunday Night Football, Giants/Cowboys.
Does it get much better than that?
Nah, it don't get no better than that, man.
Sunday night, the best, best stage, best time, best game.
You get John Harbaugh as your coach this season.
What are the biggest differences you've seen between last year's team and this year's team so far?
I feel like, you know, just the energy around here, you know, just a shift.
You know, got great coaches, got, you know, great, you know, great foundation that we built on, in spring, and also in camp leading onto the season.
And guys are very engaged in, you know, getting their jobs done.
You know, staying after, putting in time, you know, early in the morning.
So, I just feel like the, the culture is coming together and the shift is, you know, is coming.
Speaking of culture, you have a guy like Odell Beckham Jr. Back on this team.
You guys have the LSU ties, Louisiana ties.
What does it mean to you to have someone like that in the same room as you?
It means everything, you know.
I watched him, you know, when I was a, a young, a young man.
When I, well, when I was a kid.
But I watched him when I was younger.
He's kind of one of the reasons why, you know, I started, you know, playing receiver.
You know, and to have him come in here, you know.
He set, you know, he set a mark on he wanted to come back.
They didn't make it easy for him, but what every task that he had, he handled it like a, you know, an adult, as a, you know, a, a veteran football player.
And, you know, he came in here, nothing was given to him, and he, he deserve everything that he got, you know.
He put great effort, put great work, put great film on tape and, you know, you- good, good people get rewarded good things when, you know, they do what's right, and he's been doing what's right.
Is he someone that you can go up to and pick his brain just about football, about life, being from the same place?
Pick his brain?
I be- he be picking my brain.
Nah, you know, he's a, he's a great, great leader.
You know, he's always looking out for, you know, my best interests.
He's always asking me, you know, how I feel.
He's always trying to relate his, you know, his injury, his rehab process to mine.
Asking me what I've done, asking me what things to do, what can help.
So he's just been a, a helpful person in my corner for sure.
How do you feel like the relationship between you and Jaxon has been on the field, this training camp into the season?
I feel like our relationship, you know, has been getting better.
You know, it's hard for me to, you know, see him out there, you know, throw beautiful, you know, beautiful, throws and, you know, me not be out there to catch them.
But now that I'm getting back into it, I'm kinda seeing the field how he's seeing it.
You know, we have a great read for the field, and we have a great read for, you know, what routes that we wanna do and how, you know, I wanna run routes, and he has a, a great enough arm to release the ball in any, any spot, and I'm able to catch the ball in any spot.
So the relationship is growing, but right now it's pretty good for sure.
The two of you getting some star status.
I saw the Abercrombie club we were just talking about.
Yeah.
You're on the cover of Flaunt.
What has, these past few years been like for you to have these opportunities?
It's been great.
You know, still continue to keep the main thing, the main thing.
The main thing is just ball.
You know, the thing is let's play football, you know.
Everything else is everything else.
But, you know, the magazine cover is really nice.
Abercrombie is, you know, is always good.
Share a moment with, you know, my QB.
So, everything has been going great, but continue to keep the main thing, the main thing.
