Nashville Derby 2026 full race

Here it is, Michael Ronna with the call of the Grade 2, $3 million Nashville Derby.
And Caroline Street Beat is up there in the early strides with Glacius.
They're both taking prominent positions with Versailles Road and Ghostarm.
Neil Bhuagan Dua posted wide in the early stages.
Royal Guard seemed to clip heels.
He was checked along the inside, drops back about eight lengths off the lead into the second half of the field.
Glacius strides to the front for Luis Saez, who immediately drops anchor.
And on the outside, the German colt, Ghostarm, moves up to second.
Versailles Road is third.
Neil Bhuagan Dua fourth on the outside of Caroline Street Beat, two and a half lengths to Royal Guard getting balanced in midfield after an early issue.
And then comes Fancy Sailor as they climb past the 7/8ths pole.
Causeway is in the second half of the field, the blue and orange colors.

Go Grey is last of all.
As they reach the top of the hill and bend downhill right-handed, it's Glacius on the inside.
Glacius over the, Versailles Road and Ghostarm, followed by Caroline Street Beat, and then in fifth position comes Royal Guard, popping off the fence and pushing through between horses when they reach the 5/8ths pole.

The front half of the field very bunched.
A gap of two and a half lengths, Royal Causeway and Causeway together, followed by Fancy Sailor, and at the rear is Go Grey.
As they race down towards the 3/8ths pole, the lead belongs to Glacius.
He's holding sway steadily still from Versailles Road and Ghostarm three wide, followed on the inside by Caroline Street Beat, and then comes the Irish colt, Neil Bhuagan Dua, followed by Causeway.
Ryan Moore is easing him to the outside, and Royal Causeway stays near the inside in the light blue colors.
They're a quarter mile from home, and it's Glacius and Caroline Street Beat.
They have pulled clear of the rest of the field.
They're out by about three lengths mid-stretch at the 8th pole from Neil Bhuagan Dua, Causeway, Fancy Sailor running on.

They've had it between them the length of the stretch.
Caroline Street Beat outstays Glacius in the Nashville Derby.
Go Grey got up for third.
Neil Bhuagan Dua, Fancy Sailor, and Causeway are in a three-way photo for fourth.
On just seven days rest, Caroline Street Beat for Miguel Clement.
Triple Crown horses take note.
This horse ran last Saturday at Saratoga.
Trainer Miguel Clement said he didn't think he could get in this race originally, so he entered him in an allowance race at Saratoga.
Then by the time they said, "You probably will get in," he said, "I'm in the race already.
I've got to run."
He ran, he won.
He said, "Ah, what the heck."
He came out of the race really well.
"I'm gonna ship him down, van him down to Kentucky," and look at, lo and behold, he wins.
It was an invitational, and he gets an invitation that he didn't necessarily expect, and what the heck?
He did this last year, Miguel Clement.
He ran a horse called, named Tawny Port, who's still in training.
Right.
Ran on seven days rest in this race.
He f- he ran 2 1/16 miles and then came back in this, or in the, in the Kentucky Turf Cup, actually.
Finished second in both races.
So you can do it, and he, he showed last year that he could do it.
And- So Miguel Clement started today with 15 lifetime races at Kentucky Downs.
No wins, nine seconds.
Oof.
He thought- That's brutal "What, what do I have to do to win a race at Kentucky Downs?"
Now, he's had two starters today.
He did get his first win earlier today, along with a second, but he definitely has, has ended that frustration here at Kentucky Downs.
And of course, Miguel Clement is the son of the late Hall of Fame trainer, Christophe Clement, who passed just over- Just recently inducted.
Yeah, passed a little over a year ago.
What a great training job, and unconventional, but proves it can be done.
No doubt about it.
First victory, first starter in the Nashville Derby.
