Located inside a site that used to function as a factory, the Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment basts of seven galleries, a community garden, several performance venues, a theater and approximately 152 studious that are used by nearly 200 artists. Thanks to these aforementioned features, the privately managed facility is regarded as one of the largest in the South.
Housed inside a pretty white building, the Huntsville Museum of Art pretty much defines the visual arts scene in Northern Alabama with its innovative range of exhibitions. Their permanent collection consists of a whopping 3,000 exhibits spread across fourteen galleries, while traveling exhibits showcase the best artworks from across the globe. Private events, wedding receptions and conferences can be organized here effectively, while the museum also has workshops, classes and musical events for kids and adults. A visit here is a consummate cultural experience for sure!

Established in 1993. Carlisle Gallery began as a small frame shop with a selecton of fine art prints.Over the years it has come to house one of the most diverse collections of art offered for sale in the Southern United States. Kirk Carlisle has always had the philosophy that: when you sell one piece of art you reinvest in two more. Over the past 20 years this practice has lead to an impressive collection of diverse pieces representing 1000 or more years of art history. In recent years Carlisle has been focusing more and more on Abstract or contemporary art . You must see this collection. Carlisle Gallery is a great place to bring those out-of-town visitors. Artistic Minds offers the North Alabama community an environment conducive to self-paced acquiring of fine art training. The foundation of realistic drawing and shading, perspective and portrait is a structured course. After the foundation is laid in drawing, the student will learn color theory with the use of color pencils. The next step is mastering control of a brush, through water color followed by acrylic paint. Creative expression is encouraged and supported in the community and fellowship of fellow students. Students have said that this class is their "Me" time, their 1 1/2 hours out of the week that they can loose themselves in art. U Paint nights are also offered. A fun night with friends:) Artistic Minds offers a gallery of acrylic and oil paintings, custom art, charcoal portraits, and murals. Art Camps are a favorite in the Summer. Camps are for ages 5-16.
