When it closed down in 2017, fans of this lively watering hole were heartbroken. But thankfully, The Monkey Barrel didn't stay shut for long and reopened in a new place with the same vibe that attracted music and beer lovers to this bar. Decked up with a mural of the Beastie Boy along with signed music memorabilia by rock legends, this eatery and bar is a vivacious spot to down a few pints of beer, play a video game or pinball machine, partake in themed trivia or just listen to quality music. The beer taps have about 20 local brews while their food menu comprises of awesome sandwiches and burgers. They even have options for vegans. If you want to unwind and have a fun time, don't miss The Monkey Barrel.
Billy’s Inn is a great restaurant that has been serving homestyle American and Mexican cuisine to the locals since 1993. They not only have an extensive and varied food menu but also a bar menu. Their Roasted Pork Salad, Chipotle Chicken Taquitos and California Burrito Plate are some of the delicacies served here. If you're thinking to go with a group of friends then Monday is the best day to try out this place as they have a special happy hour menu the entire day. However, if you are more interested in the food, then head here during the weekend, as the chefs offer a special brunch menu that is available only on Saturdays and Sundays. You may have to wait for sometime before you get a table, but once you are settled in, the staff will make sure that you get no chance to complain about the service even if the place is packed. Open till 2a on weekends, the restaurant is also the perfect place to go for satiating those late night hunger pangs.
Located on Blake Street, Society Sports & Spirits is a sports bar in Denver's historic neighborhood of LoDo. Designed as a neighborhood bar for the locals, this locally owned establishment provides its patrons with a warm and casual atmosphere to enjoy their drinks and classic bar bites. With several varieties of draft beers and creative cocktails offered on the menu, Society is a good spot to watch the game on their multiple TVs and hangout with friends.
Avanti Food and Beverage is an innovative concept influenced by European food markets. It features shipping containers that house a rotating selection of food stalls and food trucks. At a given time, seven restaurants and four bars cater to diners' eclectic tastes, and serve fare as diverse as Asian noodles, Mediterranean street food and farm-fresh American dishes. The highlight is the rooftop bar that affords a good view of the adjacent street and Highland Gateway Park.
