Formerly Youssef 242, Cafe Rule & Wine Bar is a delightful place for Southern fare with a twist. Its interiors are modern and sleek with a motorcycle as a show-piece in the entrance. The covered private patio with fireplace, blankets and infra-red heaters is decked up with water elements and sculptures, and the well manicured garden with its patio furniture are ideal for alfresco dining options in Hickory. Using only ingredients procured from local farmers and producers, their eclectic menu comprises of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, mains and desserts. Savor their creations like Asian Calamari, Bloody Mary Shrimp and Grits, Pecan Pesto, Fried Chicken and Waffle, and Parma Ham and Fig Jam pizza. Round it off with decadent desserts like Pecan Pie Cheesecake and Strawberry Fool. Their fully stocked bar besides a good selection of wine also has a fine range of beers, cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Teetotallers are also offered some choices in the form of juices, sodas and hot drinks. Reservations are highly recommended.
