Carragher's Pub & Restaurant

Times Square Times Square is a little football heaven, with the Carragher's Pub & Restaurant NYC opening its doors on West 39th Street. As the name suggests, this lively place is dedicated to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and showcases memorabilia from his heydays, some of which include signed jerseys and scarves lent by the him. The pub's exterior is all set to match the facade of London's old-fashioned pubs, and interiors see sports fans jostling for space at the bar to catch the game during match season. Although largely a sports bar and pub, families are welcome, with the menu featuring innovative burgers and house specialties such as Steak Frites and Spicy Buffalo Mac & Cheese. Drinks are not far behind, with plenty of beers to go around.

Johnny's Bar

Johnny's Bar is a popular dive bar located in Manhattan. The bar was known for its cheap drinks, casual atmosphere, and unpretentious vibe, and it attracted a mix of locals, tourists, and students from nearby New York University. Johnny's Bar had a long history, dating back to the early 1900s, and it was one of the few remaining old-school bars in the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood. However, the bar closed its doors in 2017 after a dispute with its landlord, much to the disappointment of its loyal patrons.

Canal Bar

A neighborhood favorite, the Canal Bar is explored by many youngsters for the amazing happy hours that this place has on offer. The bar has a divey ambiance; it has wood accents all around and is dimly lit with Christmas lights, the interior isn't very spacious but it can accommodate smaller groups. In addition, the tree-covered patio sits patrons with ease during warmer months. Contrary to its no-frill image, the drinks menu on offer here will leave you at the loss of words, as the taps generously pour Guinness, Avery IPA, Coors Light, Lagunitas IPA and many more beers on rotation basis. Bottled and can beers are also available. Bar eats take care of your appetite, while the Juke Box plays great music. Canal Bar also welcomes your four-legged friends.

Sake Bar Satsko

Sake Bar Satsko is a tiny delight in Alphabet City. Some delectable Asian fusion bites like the spicy tuna roll and Gyoza are available, but the reason to go to Satsko’s is sake. The friendly bartenders have a great knowledge of the over 20 varieties of sake offered from reasonably priced to high-end. It gets crowded, so get in early for a good table or seat at the tight bar. Plus, for those seeking to take it up a notch, try the sake bomb, which involves downing a full beer with a shot of sake dropped to the bottom.
