With pressed-tin ceilings, long wooden bar and exposed brick, this bar exudes old-world charm. The building where McCoy's now stands was erected in 1898 and it has served many functions in various incarnations, including a bordello, restaurant, tavern, etc. McCoy's opened in 1998 and since then it has provided blue-collar dinner and drinks to thousands of patrons. The decor pays homage to the brave firefighters in the Emerald City and elsewhere with memorabilia like helmets, jackets as well as their massive wall of patches from stations around the globe. Open for lunch and dinner, McCoy's is always a superb choice for no-frills food in Pioneer Square.

Whether you are looking for a mellow place to grab a drink at night, an outdoor dinner setting, or a cool brunch spot, Saint John's Bar & Eatery fits the bill. A low-key watering hole, this is the kind of place that has no pretense, just friendly vibes permeating throughout. This versatile Capitol Hill establishment is probably primarily known as a bar, but the food options should not be dismissed. Diners love the brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays (don't forget the Bloody Mary!), while dinner options mainly consist of salads, burgers and sandwiches (with a slightly upscale arrangement).
