The A.R.T.S. Academy is a Visual and Performing Arts education program which provides classes taught by highly trained Professionals in Community ARTS campuses throughout Southern California. The Hillside Arts Academy exists to be the central hub of arts in our community. We are a faith-based music and arts program providing high-caliber instruction for children and youth. Through music lessons, theater workshops, musical productions, and Summer Arts programs, students are challenged in their artistic abilities and guided in their faith. Our Instructors vary from touring musicians, credentialed instructors (elementary-college level) and represent some of the most prestigious music educational backgrounds in the world (i.e. Berklee College of Music, etc.)

Why Learn to Draw & Paint? Doing so improves handwriting, writing, visual & spacial skills. Writing and painting builds confidence, pride & independence in learning. It also enhances focus and attention span: leads to more acute memory. Drawing and painting give artistic understanding of line, tone, color & 3-dimensionality. It's also been proven to increases fine motor skills & hand-eye coordination. Exposure to art increases cultural awareness & appreciation. Statistically, art enhances a child's academic performance.
