Ballet Folklórico Costa de Oro officially opened its doors to the community, offering both classes for children and adults. This would not have been possible without the efforts of its founders Benny Valles, Silvia Salcedo and Steven KoneffKlatt. The intent of the Ballet Folklórico Costa de Oro Dance School is to provide students of all ages access to Mexican culture and experienced instructors. The Ballet Folklórico Costa de Oro has been performing in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2006 primarily for schools, weddings and private events. With the opening of the Ballet Folklórico Costa de Oro Dance School, the company has had the opportunity to grow exponentially. The excellent reputation of the company has allowed them to perform for professional sports organizations, local theaters and community festivals.

Tutu School is a boutique-style ballet school that caters specifically to children 6 months to 8 years-old. Our mission is simple: We believe that exposing children at the earliest possible age to creativity, movement, and classical music will only serve them well in whatever they choose to do with their lives, that dancing like swans and Sugar Plum Fairies not only exercises little bodies but also nurtures big imaginations, and that twirling should be a fundamental part of any childhood.
