Our mission is to provide dancers quality education in dance while instilling a love for the art of dance. It is our philosophy and commitment to educate all students, consistent with their abilities and goals. This education will contribute to a sense of personal worth, independence, emotional maturity, and self-confidence. Lin began her studies at age 5 with Madame Halina, a Russian classical ballet instructor in Elmira, New York and has been teaching all ages for over 30 years. She taught dance in Pennsylvania, New York and Colorado before moving to Melbourne, Florida to pursue her dream of opening her own dance studio.

Brevard Ballet Academy trains dancers in classical Russian ballet. Owner and Artistic Director Elena Shokhina is a graduate of the world famous Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg, Russia and is a retired professional principle dancer and prepares students for dance competitions, regular performances, and a possible career in dancing. This is accomplished through regularly scheduled classes, private lessons, Master classes, summer dance intensives, and summer ballet intensives. Graduates of the Vaganova Ballet Academy have gone on to perform as principal dancers at the Marinsky Theatre (Kirov), Bolshoi Theatre, and American Ballet Theatre (ABT). She is known for her vast repertoire to include principle roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, La Bayadere, Paquita, Cinderella, Nutcracker, Scheherazade, Les Sylphides and many others. Her dance studio is conveniently located in the Eau Gallie Art District (EGAD) just over the causeway from beachside, and minutes from anywhere in Melbourne, West Melbourne, Viera, and Palm Bay. Miss Elena teaches kids, adults, and adult beginner in ballet. Other classes taught include Lyrical dance (contemporary dance), Repertoire, and Character dance.
