At JFDC, you will find professional quality instruction. All dancers, beginner to advanced, can expect to have a positive, fun-loving experience while learning proper dance techniques, while finding a passion for dance, as well as discipline. We strive to help our dancers find their passion and love for the art of dance and acrobatics. Dance, for many, is an excellent form of release and self-expression. Providence Swings is a group of dancers dedicated to the advancement of swing dancing in the Rhode Island area. We offer classes ranging from Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Charleston, to Balboa for all dancing levels. Our list of upcoming classes is posted on our website. We are run by a volunteer Board of Directors. We offer: - Weekly swing dancing classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a focus on Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa and traditional Jazz. - A weekly swing dance on Thursday called, "The Bread & Butter Jam." - Periodic weekend workshops, including our annual Dirty Dozen Weekend. - Occasional special Saturday night dances.
