Dancing since 1979, Center Stage offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop and contemporary for children age 2-18 in Western North Carolina's top rated dance facility. Unique among dance studios in the area, all members of our faculty hold degrees in dance or early childhood education, have danced with a professional company or maintain membership in Dance Masters of America. Dance classes are held on a weekly basis mid-August until the end of May, culminating with an annual spring recital. In addition to classes for children and teens at all levels, the studio maintains a pre-professional ballet preparatory program, as well as the Center Stage Performing Company (2013 National Champions at Dance Masters of America and Showstopper). During the summer we offer weekly Theme Camps for ages 3-8 and Dance Intensives for advanced dancers. Center Stage also hosts fabulous birthday parties! Stop by our studio for a tour and complimentary first class.
We provide high-quality dance instruction in a nurturing, positive, and creative environment. With an Elite Pre-Professional program, and a recreational dance program, each student will find just the right training for their dance goals. Our young dancer classes are designed to inspire, engage and excite young minds and give them the building blocks to one day be a part of an elite program. Our recreational dance classes are for the student who loves to dance, but not as intensely. All dancers of any age are embraced at WNCDA, where our goal is to help you become the dancer you are meant to be. The WNC Performing Company is a performing and competing company geared towards very focused dancers wanting to concentrate on commercial dance.
