Since 1945 Fishback Studio Of The Dance has been devoted to the art of dance. Located in Albuquerque, NM, we have long been recognized as one of the outstanding dance schools in the Southwest. Our professional teachers offer dance and acrobatic classes for students from age 6 to teens and adults on a sprung floor. At Fishback Studio, it is our mission to stress the importance of dancing as an ideal physical education as well as an artistic achievement. Dance Theatre Southwest (DTSW) provides the highest quality dance education to the Albuquerque community. DTSW has always been on the cutting edge of dance, hosting the NM Dance Festival. We have received national recognition as a school of great quality & integrity and was invited to dance in Europe. Each year, the recital allows all students to perform in a concert-like environment.The older dancers are encouraged to participate in the Young Choreographer’s Showcase where they are closely involved and supervised in the production of their work.This includes choreography, casting, costuming, & rehearsing When a dancer graduates and moves on from DTSW, they will have invaluable knowledge of both the performing and directing side of producing a concert. We look forward to making dance a very exciting and positive experience for our students.
