Gibney Dance's mission is to bring the power of movement and self-expression where it would not otherwise exist through three interrelated fields of action -- Center, Company, and Community Action. At the Center, we offer rehearsal space rental for non-profit and commercial renters, professional-level ballet classes, and community programs for dance artists.
We are a dance school featuring ballet, hip-hop, tap, zumba as well as African dance, catering to adults and children over 3. The school has grown since its inception from Debbie's Creative Dance Workshop with 8 students to its current status of students coming from all over the borough of Brooklyn.
We offer open-level Dance & Yoga classes for all ages as well as 6000 sq. ft. studio use opportunities.
DivaDance inspires confidence and builds community through adult dance classes for all levels! Every class is a great chance for dance exercise, whether you participate in-studio or through virtual classes. Classes start with a warmup and then you'll learn actual choreography to your favorite pop songs from Beyoncé to Bieber and everything in between. Our adult hip-hop dance classes are not competitive or stressful - we emphasize fun, inclusivity, and body positivity! Take classes with us in-person or dance lessons online. DivaDance also offers bachelorette parties, birthday parties and girls night out celebration options where your group can come together to learn a routine together either in person or virtually! If you're looking for a corporate takeover or adult birthday party idea, DivaDance will be a memorable, fun option for your next party.
