During the past 30 years, Plano based Chamberlain School of Performing Arts has earned a reputation as the principal pre professional ballet school of north Texas by providing outstanding dance training in the classical tradition. The company focus on building Classical Foundations for Life is evident in the lives of the schools dancers who benefit from rigorous training, development of self-discipline and healthy bodies, self confidence, outstanding performance opportunities, and an appreciation for the arts. Each year the schools students are awarded scholarships to prestigious colleges and universities as well as summer study scholarships with elite ballet companies around the country. Many graduates have gone on to establish professional careers with well-known dance companies and Broadway productions. Founder and Artistic Director, Kathy Chamberlain, is an internationally recognized figure in the world of classical ballet and is a former recipient of the prestigious Ford Foundation Scholarship to the School of American Ballet the official School of the New York City Ballet.
Our business uniqueness is we are gentle and patient. We saw a need for all ages to get out and move their bodies in an environment that felt safe and unintimidating. So we felt Latin dance is easy on the body, and joints. Comfortable shoes with soles that allows turning is required, especially for knee and hip safety.

We make dancing as easy as walking! We offer private and group ballroom dance lessons. Private lessons are our specialty and are available five days a week, ensuring you can find a time that suits your schedule. We offer classes in a wide range of dance styles, from Swing and Salsa to the more traditional Waltz and Viennese Waltz. We can also help if you are preparing for your first wedding dance. Ballroom Group classes include Smooth, Swing, Latin Ballroom, and more. We are located inside the facility of Elegance Ballroom Event Center.
Premier Dance Instruction for ages 3-18yrs. We offer dance classes in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical and drill team. Edge Dance also has an amazing Musical Theatre program open to children from ages 5-18yrs. We invite you to come in and try out a class for FREE!
