I specialize in weddings and corporate holiday parties. I offer a free consultation, either in person, over the phone, or via webcam. When I perform, I avoid the over-played, cliche party hits unless you specify that you want to hear them, and I have a knack for mixing in great indie tracks and lesser-played songs in a manner that keeps the energy on the dance floor building, and the guests happy. Don't think that anything I play will be obscure or inappropriate- I'm all about making people dance! It's just that years of experience and practice have allowed me to develop a style that includes great dance hits without ever having to rely on the tired old tracks that are the bread and butter for many other DJs. I specialize in weddings, but I'm equally comfortable at corporate events or in a night club. I'm adaptable, and have a wide range of musical knowledge, so I can tailor my set to suit nearly any crowd. I'm comfortable and professional on a microphone, and can act as an MC or host as needed. If left to my own devices, I spin a mix of indie rock, electro, '90s Brit pop, '80s new wave, and maybe some Motown, ska, mod, or yé-yé.

Looking for a DJ who focuses on mixing great music, avoids cheesiness & will connect with you and your guests on a human level? Hi, I'm Cookie Policy. My mom calls me Brett. As inspired by Kool Keith, I literally pass out cookies to the audience (in nightlife scenarios). My profound love of music has seen me in the roles of composer/performer, student at Sir Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, audio engineer, producer, promoter & graphic designer of countless live concerts & dance parties. Through it all, I've always DJ'ed as an outlet for my profound love of music & desire to share it with others. My environmental sensitivity, love of music/huge library & ability to read the room allow me to hone in & provide a great time for whoever may be in the room. I have over 14 years of professional experience, have performed at over 150 weddings/private events, as well as countless nightlife & parties. My style is informed by starting in nightlife: aka seamless mixing. I work hand in hand to custom tailor my mixes to your desires. I love my job. I get to throw dance parties for people on the happiest days of their lives. Let me throw you the best dance party you've ever had. Much love, Brett *NOTE: Communication through yelp can be convoluted. For more seamless messaging, send me a line through the contact form on my website: djcookiepolicy (dot) com (slash) contact
