The Fairfax Grange is a hidden gem in Bakersfield—one of the last original Grange Halls in California still in use. Built in 1940 by local farmers and ranchers, it has hosted generations of community events, socials, and celebrations. Today, we carry that spirit forward with weekly dance nights, group lessons, private rentals, and nonprofit events that bring people together. What makes us unique? We’re 100% volunteer-run, and every dollar raised goes straight into restoring and maintaining this historic space. From our original maple wood floors to our welcoming atmosphere, the Grange offers an affordable and memorable space for birthdays, weddings, fundraisers, and more. We’re not just a rental hall—we’re a living part of Kern County’s story. Come visit, take a tour, or join us for one of our public events and see what community really looks like. Call or text (661) 731-3671 for more information and tour the historic Fairfax Grange.
