Madrid Theater
Built in 1925, the Madrid Theater followed the spree of venues in Kansas around that period which catered to entertaining the local masses. The 800 seat venue has elegance and grandeur etched all over it, as signified by the predominantly yellow lighting with a tinge of pink. The theater's main allegiances lie towards showcasing symphonies and orchestras. Countless regional Italian favorites have crossed seas and graced the stage of the Madrid Theatre. The stage has also been set alight through various dances, plays and music concerts. When the venue is not in use for performances, it is available for large scale business conferences and seminars.

Helzberg Hall is the base of the Kansas City Symphony and one of the main performing halls of the impressive Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Its vineyard-style seating reminiscent of terraces in a grape plantation ensures there is no single bad seat. Due to this arrangement, there is an intimate feel to this hall, where you can catch your favorite artists from a very close range. This oval-shaped concert hall also boasts to have one of the best pipe organs in the country. The Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ, Opus 3875 was custom built for this facility and is a key part of this venue's excellent acoustics.
Home to Kansas City's infamous Lyric Opera, the Lyric Theater is one of the oldest venues that Kansas natives flock to in order to satiate their musical appetites. Aesthetically decorated with water fountains, the Lyric Theater is fully equipped with all the basic facilities such as clean restrooms and ample parking spaces. Refreshments from outside are not allowed at the theater but both the mezzanine and main levels have concession stands selling food and beverages, including alcohol. Smoking though, is strictly prohibited. Open from Tuesday to Friday from 6p, and on Saturday and Sunday from noon onwards.
