The North Valley is home to many impressive structures and Casa Rondena Winery is one of the most unique. This Moorish castle encloses a huge wine making operation that produces respected cabernet and sauvignon wines. The winery's Serenade is a fruity, slightly dry dessert wine. The owner and wine maker spent 20 years in southern Spain, where he learned his art and found himself enthralled by the Moorish architecture. Mountains and streams meander across the grounds that are surrounded by the giant cottonwoods of the Rio Grande Bosque.

SWING-N-PICKLE is an indoor entertainment complex in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that stands out by blending competitive sports, casual dining and social events into a single vibrant venue. What sets it apart from typical sports bars or standalone pickleball courts is its multi-sport setup, featuring pickleball courts for fast-paced games, batting cages for baseball/softball practice and high-tech full -swing golf simulators that allow players to experience virtual courses. This combination creates a one-stop spot for diverse activities, appealing to families, friends and sport enthusiasts who might want to switch between swinging a bat, paddling on the court, or teeing off-all without leaving the building. Adding to its uniqueness, SWING-N-PICKLE integrates the Rally Restaurant and Bar right in the mix, serving up meals and drinks that fuel the fun, from quick bites during play to relaxed post-game hangs. Unlike more singular-focused venues like traditional pickleball halls or golf ranges, it hosts regular events, themed nights and live music, fostering a community atmosphere where "strangers become friends." Its location also makes it a fresh addition to Albuquerque's entertainment scene, having opened in 2026 as one of the city's first indoor multi-sport hubs with this level of integration. Overall, the seamless fusion of athletic variety, on-site dining and event programming gives SWING-N-PICKLE a dynamic edge over conventional options.
